boost cutting at 14psi. boost leak? fueling issue?
on the drive home today, i punched it in 5th to see if i could top out the boost. it reached 28psi at about 4000rpm just fine.
10 miles later i needed to pass. i was in 4th, i punch it, boost spikes to 22psi (or so) then drops back to 14. this is uphill, so the car is barely accelerating. i immediately back off the gas.
repeat the experiment in 4th and then in 3rd. same story.
no CEL, no obvious blown off hoses (i think).
pressure test, or check something else first?

solved. i didn't secure the vaccuum line to the BPV, and it blew off
so it was venting boost as soon as it reached 1 atm.
i love problems that can be solved with a ziptie
