I have an audible boost leak under heavy load/boost situations. It's not so significant that it causes a major hesitation. It's not an air-rushing type sound but more like a screaming-type sound. I recently did 034's stage 1 kit (injectors/software/1.9bar spring). It felt great! Then one of the coils failed so I immediately did the 1.8T coil conversion. Felt great! Shortly thereafter I had the famous ECU boost line come apart at the firewall and caused a significant hesitation under boost. It ran great again until the original boost hoses couldnt take the pressure. So it now has new Samcos with t-bolt clamps. I also installed 034's MAF-turbo hose. All hose connections look good and are tight. Bypass valve is new. No faults stored. Output test shows everything working (N75/ISV/etc). Oh, it also has a periodic hesitation at highway speeds, mainly in 5th under light load/constant throttle. I haven't made a boost pressure tester/cap deal yet. I also havent pulled the carpet back from the ECU to check the moisture trap. If that was disconnected, wouldnt I get a huge hesitation? Any thoughts before I commit myself the local insane asylum?

where do you hear it leaking from? there is a rubber t-fitting below the intake manifold that is prone to tearing, its small but you can hear it (sounds like its in the dash) and you can feel the lack of power from it. will not cause hesitation I dont think. its in the vac lines

obviously difficult to say for sure when driving. I think I looked at that fitting but I'm gonna check it again.

way too easy to overtighten them, and they dont clamp in a perfectly round fashion. They'll hold high boost just fine, but I've seen plenty of crushed aluminum intake pipes with a flat spot on one side from t-bolts.
the CT clamps have a torque indicator on them (the stub that sticks out the back) that tells you when to stop tightening. I've seen zero flattened pipes with CT clamps, and I run them on my own cars.
