Default Brake light, High Beam problems

E-Brake- So as of a week or two ago, my E-brake light keeps flickering on and off. It's driving me nuts. Every time I shift, and every time I turn it turns on, and under hard acceleration.
What do I do?

High Beams- Friday night, I was driving up to my cabin around 12 oclock, going through some mountain roads and all of a sudden my highbeams cut out. I kept goin for another 10 miles, and they would turn on if I flicked the switch back and forth violently but then would cut back out. Pulled over, turned the car off, turned it on, problem still there. Haven't driven in the dark sense but i'm assuming the problem is still there
What could be causing this?

It is a brake warning light, not just an e-brake light. The owners manual lists all the inputs. If a wiggle of the handle does not make the light come on, I would suspect the fluid level in the brake reservoir or the hydraulic fluid reservoir (power steering reservoir) is low enough to illuminate the warning when the fluid sloshes in turns.
Make sure you use the correct fluid in each reservoir, and if it is the hydraulic reservoir as I suspect, fix the leak.

If the high beams illuminate when the stalk is pulled back to the flash position, then the contacts for the high beams are corroded or burnt. You might have luck with a blind squirt of contact cleaner into the switch area, otherwise change the switch. It can be a DIY job for the ~$130 switch if you are comfortable removing the airbag and steering wheel to access it.

Yep, I'd also check the brake fluid resevoir. Both have sensors to warn of low fluid. The brake fluid resevoir must be almost full for it not to throw a brake light.

Hydraulic fluid is on the list of things to buy. It's about an inch and a half below the minimum line.

Still haven't had to use the high beams, but hopefully it was a temporary malfunction

thanks guys

I have a similar problem with my S6 I bought in June.

When I click to high-beems nothing happens but if I hold the stick in the flash position they work and are very bright. Sometimes I will hold it if I need extra light but I'm worried I might blow something. Really sucks.

Also - my BRAKE light comes on when I hit a bump and goes out eventually so its on about 50% of the time. Kind of sucks.
