I realize this topic has been covered before, but after searching the archive I'm still not sure what I should get... I'm about to upgrade my boost hoses to Samcos (as soon as the group buy stuff shows up), and I want to change my BPV at the same time. I'm pretty sure it's the original valve, as I've looked at all of the service records for my car, and the valve carries the early part#, not the "N" number. It's also making the "groaning" sound that Audi issued a bulletin about...
My car is not chipped, and if it ever becomes chipped, I doubt that it will be more than a "Stage 1" scenario (I have a different car for that sort money-spending).
Is there any point in getting a piston-type diverter valve (like the Hyperboost HX)? Has anyone actually used the "Bosch Sport" valve that Hoppen recommends?
Again, this is for a stock-boost car, although I would be very happy if it's possible to improve throttle response and boost recovery through the use of a non-stock valve.
Thanks for your input!
