Bypass Valve Location question

Bypass Valve Location question
Why does Audi set the BPV location closer to the turbo instead of closer to the throttle body in the 20VT engine setup?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but, I believe BPV should be placed as close as possible to the throttle body. It would minimize the time for turbo to spool and fill up the volume of compressed air in the pipe and intercooler.

Re: Bypass Valve Location question
No expert here but initial spool may be milliseconds quicker as the volume of air req. to fill up the return pipe on the BPV plumbing is min. Also when that BPV opens the pressurized air is that much closer to the intake on the coldside of the turbo to keep that baby spooled up for every shift after initial spool up.
