So i had the A/C recharged. Working flawlessly for the past couple weeks.
Today around 2:30pm I drove the car for the first time since saturday evening, and when I got back into it, after letting it bake out in the sun for an hour an half, i started the car. The CC Head was in the LO position from me driving it earlier.
I get going and the A/C turns on and cuts out quick. Outside temp gauge reading 100 still, I turned the CC head to 70 degrees and the A/C was working again perfectly, and then after about 3 miles turned it down to LO again, working flawlesly again. Is there some sort of safety for the LO setting in serious heat conditions?

No. Mine works all the time in that weather. Whatever the setting.
