A/C issues continued: Compressor still cycles=1sec on 5sec off -frustrated.
Last night I pulled a code A1 under channel 52. Which indicates Hi Press. s/w or Blockage. Well, I figured w/o being able to bypass the cycling by "eliminating" the h/p s/w then it had to be a blockage. (the h/p s/w seemed to be working properly).
Evacuated system again. Disconnected lines everywhere. Flushed the lines, condenser, evaporator, receiver/drier...
No blockages.
Replaced orifice tube AGAIN. Refilled the system AGAIN. Still cycles 1sec on 5 off. It'll do this for about 2 minutes then the A/C system turns off. The snowflake disappears and you can't turn it back on until you cycle the key.
Here's the confusing part:
No matter what sensor you unplug, short, or eliminate electronically it still does the same cycle thing.
What else am I missing?
Do control units go bad?
Any help appreciated.
BTW: This is on my 95 A6Q but I posted here due to the similarity w/ S6 and due to teh VAST knowledge found in this forum.

Previous thread for more history:

was this R12 from factory and retrofitted to R134a ?
Reason why i'm asking this AGAIN is that they better not charged it with the same amount of refrigerant.
What do the pressures say?

I found the problem. After tracing out the circuits, everything kept coming back to the Controller
I "borrowed" the controller from my wife's 98 Avant's(C4 platform) and it worked perfectly.
Swapped back in the old unit and it's back to cycling.
So I'm in the market for a control unit. 95-98.
The unit from the 98 was edition "K".
The unit from the 95 was edition "C".
Yeah!

FYI, the only difference is early CC head displays are more orange and later ones are more red....
I've had a 92 S4 CC head work perfectly in a December build 95.5 S6 and vice-versa, so as far as I know any C4 CC head will work.
