I've seen these coils used on everything from a 600-700 twin turbo v6 to turbo charged Nissans, Mistubishes, etc.. The GM v8 boys really love them as they can mess with the dwell a lot..

You can also get the MSD versions that can be used as driven or non driven coils.

Why not just mount those coils on a rack on the firewall and run leads ala 7A?

Default Yes I may end up doing that

As the number 1 coil is very very close to being into the fire blanket. In fact it was into the blanket until I ressed mounted the coil. I didn't want to resses them as I was trying to keep heat away but you do what you have to do..

The LS1 Accel wires were 20 dollars shipped to my door and 8mm silcon blah blah blah.. But I may end up putting them on the wall depending on how much the motor moves.
