They are charging me 300 bucks for the job. Seems reasonable, how hard are these to change and how much would the part cost me if I went and bought it myself? The car is actually in Syracuse at Burdick Audi so fixing it myself is probably not and option since I reside in buffalo. I tried pulling the codes off the hvac controls when the car went dead before i had it towed, got nothing for the speed sensor so I had no clue what it was.

pump died on you. I would suspect you have a fuel pump issue and NOT a speed sensor. However, IF you decide to do the work the speed sensor PN is:
034 905 381A (its gray)
The G4 ignition timing sender is 034 905 381 (its black).
Check the FAQ for fuel pump testing info.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/116988.phtml">Info on Engine Speed Sensor G28 from the FAQ</a></li></ul>
