Default Car won't start...

Hey all,

I accidentally left my lights on two nights ago. Last night, my roommate helped me to jump start it. Things went fine. Foolishly, I only drove around for about 30 minutes to charge the battery.

Early this morning, I went to start it up, and nothing. I tried to jump start it again, but no dice. Occasionally, the red security light in the rear fog switch would come on. So I tried again two hours later. No start. The engine turns over, but there's no evidence of spark. Accessories, like the radio, turn on.

I'm going to get a new battery to see if that works. Does anyone have any ideas of what's going on? Could I have fried the ignition switch?

Thanks

Never jump start these cars. They hate it.

Why shouldn't I jump start? Are there some components that are subject to failure?

When my battery was dying, it was still able to crank the engine but not at the required rpm.

You missed the various jump = dead ECU threads?

I must have missed those threads. I was wondering if I was having an anti-theft or electrical problem.

Thanks for the answers, but I put in a new battery, and all is well.

Our cars do NOT have an anti-theft immobilizer per se.
