Default Central locking issues .......... HELP!!

Hey Guys, I searched the archives and didn't turn up much, other than a potential weak battery problem.

Has anyone ever run into a situation where the doorlocks unlock when the key is turned to right in the doorlock, and lock when the key is turned to the left? This normally works the opposite way, turn key to the left - doors unlock, turn to the right, doors lock.

The alarm goes off when the doors are opened. I suspect the central alarm thinks the car is locked because of the way the key is turned, even though the door ***** are up.

Weird problem, just wondering if anyone has experienced this.

Thanks for any information.

Default Ignition switch???

Forgive my ignorance, but how does the opposite opening of the door locks relate to the ignition switch?

Thanks again for the information.

It doesn't. The locks are out of sync.

Default just a hint, i've been told this could mean your battery is about to go south...

it happened to me, someone warned me, but i ignored them. I went on a trip the next week, came out one morning to a dead battery that refused to hold a charge.
