Default Checked for boost leaks, Results:

Ok so i built the abs pressure tester and all the hoses seem fine. However there is TONS of air whooshing out of the oil cap really loudly. Is this a boost leak and how do u fix something like that. A few drops of oil splashed out as well (from the oil cap). Can Someone please interpret my results for me? if its not the boost leak any other ideas why my car would feel slow?

Default Running a GP to have SAMCO build a silicon MAF to Turbo hose...

e-mail me if you interested to get in on this...

Benefits:

#1: Looks damn good (the "bling bling" effect)
#2: Robust, never have to wonder or worry about this hose again...
#3: Added heat protection (bigger thermal barrier)
#4: Match your Samco set you already have (for those of you that like to collect full sets)
#5: The hose will not collapse in on itself under high "negative" boost conditions (apparently this could happen !) See: Autospeed.com series on Negative Boost.

e-mail me if you want to be added to the list, I have 24 already signed up...

/JaMu.

Default Not yet... soon I hope.

I'm figuring this will be a 5 step program...

Step 1: Get enough participation ! (Done)
Step 2: Send sample to Samco (they will evaluate costs for tooling etc.), and get everyone's ok on costs.
Step 3: Give go ahead, they build intial piece and send back for fitment
Step 4: Production starts
Step 5: Everyone get's their new hose in the color they want !

Since this is new development it doesn't infringe on any distribution rights, otherwise I wouldn't be able to do this direct with them... but this is a 1 shot deal after that you will have to buy from your regular sources (once they become available...)

<Oh Please! It IS a whimpy hose, but, oh my!>

My flaming aside, I am truly frightened by the sh***Y stock hose, & would love an improved version.

Default After a few weeks with the RS2 turbo, I found a rip in mine.

right along the elbow at the bottom. I'm looking for something to use until the GP goes through.
