is that normal? the coolant temp will be down
to the the first highlight on the gauge.
I had VW passat.the coolant temp is constant
when i drive at 120 mph though. So could it be
the thermostat stick open? but this early
morning I tried to open the cap for coolant
reservoir.there's no ventilation for the coolant
system. So is that means the thermostat still
working nicely?
to the the first highlight on the gauge.

During the day,the coolant temp should be the second highlight(operating temp).
At night when the temp down to 26-30 C degree.
when i put the car on the hgihway with 140km/h+
then the coolant temp will down to the first
highlight on the gauge.
Is that normal?

55F weather city driving at night for about 1 hour
coolant temp left the first 3 lines just a little and it stays there doesn't move much.
When I stop and let it idle for about two minutes
the temp will rise almost touching the first thin line.
At freeway it would go down and stay at the third line.
too low?? or just about right?
#CC chan.51 around 62-65 without heater on
#CC chan.51 around 73-76 with heater on
#heater works fine
#recent coolant flush
#new thermostat (lower temp)
possible the new thermostat stuck open??
if that is the case what cause it to fail since its new?
if not what else could it be??anyone??

I think it should be the problem.
In the past,i remember that after
cold start for a while the gauge
would be pointed to around the first
thin line all the times.Even i put the car
on the highway with 200km/h.it would stay
there.I've also searched from SJM's Website.
I've got 2 causes 1.Thermostat 2.MFTS(Multi function temp. switch) any others?
