Could the "over center spring" on the top of the clutch pedal assembly cause a stiff pedal feel?
I remember when I had the Centerforce DF clutch put in, the clutch pedal didn't get as light of a feeling as my old 100CSQ did when I changed out the clutch and the spring on the clutch pedal in that car. So my question I guess is, the spring could be the culprit to make the pedal push hard, right?

Heavier duty clutch = "heavy" feeling through the pedal, perhaps?
Alot beefier than the stock clutch stuff.
Ive dealt with 2 over-center springs. One in the 4ktq and one in a 90 20v. The 90's pedal feel was horrible, the over-center spring brought it back to feeling correct.

It could be the clutch, but there are other potential culprits like the clutch slave cyl...
I hadn't realized how heavy the clutch was on my S4 until after the slave failed and was replaced. It took maybe half the effort after compared to before, but I'd never noticed how bad it was since it got worse very gradually.

Having felt the pedal with no other resistance than the over center spring - twice -
I will say absolutely NO! A little finger's worth of resistance - only to mid stroke.
Past the center of the stroke - the spring will actually help depress the pedal. (Hence - over center.)
