Default FWIW, I've heard a lot of good stuff about South Bend.

Having them close by is also a plus.

Default Here's a copy from an e-mail discussion on this topic

names hidden...

"XXXXX has used these guys several times…

With regards to their pressure plates, they suck, same thing goes wrong with the SB ones, as the SPEC one do…

They modify the stock pressure plate, and they f#ck them up somehow….to the point of where the clutch is not disengaging when you push in the clutch pedal….resulting in people having to drive home grinding their gears and ****ing up their transmissions up bad…..

As for their clutch discs, they are good….I have one of their OFE series, which has a special feramic lining on one side and a metal/organic lining on the other…..take about 2,000 miles to break in and get rid of all that chatter, as you remember mine, but itâ€TMs all gone now.. : )

The discs are about $350.00 each.

XXXXX will buy the clutch discs, but NOT the modified pressure plates…

Clutch Masters seems to be the way to go now…."

Default Did you resurface your flywheel? Doesnt sound like it.

From what I saw and heard- Though they stand by their product fully, they have rarely had a unit returned due to componet failue. Now improper installation is another issue. And even then they tried to do right by the customer.
