if my picture makes sense:
smaller U box goes on strutbar from below. the larger U box goes over smaller box and swaybar from above strutbar (the rest of the coil bracket is connected to this U box or what to call it).
the inner box is thick enough for two threads to be in the hole. Outer box can be thinner, screws with lock tight go through the two boxes and clamp them together so there is no drilling of the strutbar. I imagine they would be tight enough that the assembly would not slide or you could put strip of rubber under the boxes to provide grip.
just an idea I had last night FWIW
