Delphi D585 coil install completed - new bracket idea
Gents,
I didn't want to install the coils using alot of splices so I sourced all new connectors, heat resistant sheathing, etc.
Next on the agenda is to purchase some cable seperators to keep the spark plug cables neat, and to remove the coils
from the cover and reinstall the cover.
I wanted to be able to replace one coil without completely disassembling an entire bracket, here is the bracket I
came up with.
It is currently hanging from the strut tie bar, but I am planning on making support brackets that would bolt to the
firewall via the factory's wireing harness bracket. I should be able to mount a cover on top of this bracket
(the top mounts would be gone)

I am planning on doing something along these lines, but in two rows using the space between the coolant reservoir and the windscreen washer fluid. Your idea is a great one, I just don't like the idea of leaving them back along the firewall.

I've sent these user accounts to the Admins for review. Kris will take care of them I'm sure.
