Difficult cold start with the 'new' fuel pump.

Any ideas? I have to crank many times, pause, and then the next time I crank it starts right up.

old fuel?.... mine starts like **** on race fuel in the cold.

Not old... maybe it's bad? I did stir up an awful lot of soot in the tank when I changed the pump.

But then I fueled up right after.

yeah, it's possible you sucked a bunch of crap up into the filter.

My car struggled to start at first after having the fuel pump changed...

But after filling the tank with fresh gas I had no more problems from then on.
