Do any of you guys have stated value insurance policies on your S car?

I STFA and found some info, but haven't really started the process and need more info. Hagerty told me to go up a post on my 944S a few years ago (they do offer great stuff for classics though), so I suspect the answer would be the same on an S car (due to the age of the car or the like <excuse> I'd guess).
Just curious if anyone has gone through the process and what the premiums are like?
TIA

and lump it under a home owner's policy (say an umbrella) with a legit appraisal in hand (on top of your mandatory "road" insurance). Sorta like losing your wife's wedding ring and the most recent appraisal is the 'stated value'? Most likely a huge stretch, but at the end of the day it is personal property, and we should be able to have it insured at its current worth (dollar for dollar for replacement cost of the car + the current replacement value of each of the mods per the appraisal). Any thoughts?
But, I could be going out on a huge limb that just cracked and broke. ;-)

my policy states:
no drivers under 25,
no commuting,
no errand running,
no winter driving,
no timed auto events, and
not driven over 5K miles in a year,
Mark near Chicago
BTW my rates are cheap <$800/yr

Although the 993TT is a <bit> more exotic and toy carish than an S car in the eyes of the insurance man ;-). It's worth a call though!
Thanks for the info..

Mine is through Safeco, and my agent is rally. No real stiputaltions on the policy except mileage and no participation in timed events. I pay about 450 for a six month policy for about 48000 of coverage.

I was reading another forum, for my Scout, and there are some guys who have restored their rigs which are worth a fair amount of money.
Here is a quote from a response:
"I contacted State Farm who will cover the entire vehicle for a stated value with pictures and an appraisal (SSS) to back it up. I was quoted about $300 annually for an insured value of $15,000 with comp, collision, and unisured motortist. The bodily and property damage limits are 100K/300K/100K and deductibles are $250. They did not mention any mileage restrictions, but they might exist. I won't know until I read the fine print upon finalizing the policy."
SSS is a company that sells parts for Scouts and does appraisals and other services, so not pertinent to your case. Maybe contacting State Farm might be an answer? I'm not sure what costs would be on a UrS.

Most Scout owners get told the same thing you were unless they get a collector or antique type insurance. So reading that post at least should give a glimmer of hope.
It probably worth beating down the doors. Of course the insurance companies could look at it as, well they see a turbo charged car trying to get stated value because it is all modded to hell. HIGH RISK.
They look at a Scout maybe and say, well it's a 30 year old truck, that has been restored, I doubt they'd hit the track or take it off sweet jumps. Low Risk.
Who knows, I was just trying to offer up something helpful.
