three grooves machined into the rear shock shell. A middle "normal" position plus one about 1 cm higher and one about 1 cm lower. The last set I bought (for the S-car) had no extra grooves. Eibach provided a special spring perch to modify the rear spring perch height. Otherwise, a groove could potentially be machined into the shock shell (by someone who knows what they are doing).

shorter and are meant for the shorter lowering (H&R, Eibach, Intrax, etc) springs. You can run the Sports (with some success) with the taller OEM springs but running the taller HDs with the shorter springs has a high risk of failure, i.e. the suspension bottoming out on (actually in) the HD shock. (Kaboom, Ouch). This is why Bilstein made the Sports shock.

What is the best lowering springs to use with the Bilstein shocks to acheive a 25 1/4 - 25 1/2 look?
