Does anyone have a pinout for the rear defrost switch (6 pin)? TIA!

It has a built-in ~10 minute timer. So you'd get 10 minutes of mp3s and then have to hit the button again.
A fog light switch would be better. Best would be to somehow trigger the relay automatically when your aux device is turned on. I did that, but in my case I had an "amp remote" line on the mp3 head unit. Maybe there is a suitable signal on the iPod harness.

There is a signal on the dock connector that could be used to trigger the relay, but you would need a transistor to get enough current.
Some info <a href="http://ipodlinux.org/IPod_to_T%26A_remotecontrol_adapter#Short_descript ion_of_the_iPod_Dock-Connector">here</a> on the dock connector.
Run pin 18 to the gate of a FET, use the drain of the FET to switch the ground side of the relay coil. Presto!
