Default drilled & slotted rotors; do they wear down pads too fast?

can't decide between just drilled or drilled&slotted rotors. I'm going to use mintex red box pads with oem calipers. my car is a daily driver; no track use.

Drilled rotors are bad. Get slotted or flat only.

Drilled = Ricer. Should be an easy decision.

Default Tell that to Porsche

well, technically these aren't drilled, the holes are cast in from the factory..

But with a soft pad, the drilled rotors EAT pads, BTDT. I accidentally had stock porsche pads on at a track event, went through a FULL set of pads in one 30 minute session

Default I tried, they didn't listen.

Though as you point out those are cast holes, not drilled.

My slotted ones seem to keep the pad-eating to a minimum.

Default I have slotted on the A6 and S4 and both are approaching 30k miles, pad wear is good

If you get a harder pad it should work out, but the flip side is the rotor will be eaten faster.

Rather go through pads than replace Porsche drilled rotors!

Read Marc's lips:Porsche had the holes in their rotors cast, not drilled =less stress, less cracking

For a daily driver and no track use either is a waste of $. Just get stock rotors.
