Driver's window rattles when down. Is this normal?

Driver's window rattles when down. Is this normal?
My car has always done this since I bought it. I figured I'd ask if this is normal before I go tearing into the door only to find out it's a poor design.
The window and a broken sunroof rain tray are my only major rattles. I have managed to sort out all the other anoying rattles.

What does the piece look like?
Just after I bought the car I took the door panel off to fix a really bad rattle that turned out to be the window mechanism coming loose. I didn't find anything in the door at that time except a loose self-tapping sheet metal screw.
