Default Dyno run result with RS2 setup...

I know somebody asked for some dyno results for cars with RS2 setup. Here's what I'm running:
-RS2 turbo
-RS2 exhaust man.
-delphi 37lbs inj.
-3" turbo back exhaust
-Mihnea's software and PT
-FMIC(from saab)
-15lbs alum. flywheel(not sure it makes a difference on the dyno but anyway)
Here's the result but I don't think it's running perfectly since it peaked at 33psi !!! at some point and it runs a little lean until it hits full boost.I still have my matched port and polished head to install and obviously some fine tuning to do to try and gain some more.

Default Somethings not right.

Full RS2 should be up around 300-330, but your 1/4 mile times indicate the power is there.

Default Well, from what they told me at L-sport, there's a 27% drivetrain loss on a quattro so...

271hp at the wheels comes to over 340hp at the crank. I would say between 330-340hp.But are you saying that I should be getting 300 to 330 at the wheels, if so then there's definitely something wrong, damn.I've tested quite a few thing that might have failed with no luck, now I need to do a leak test since I'm really not sure the IC supports 30psi.

Default So I guess mine came out pretty good but like you said, that much boost is no good for sure.

Gotta find a way to fix it or a boost control valve is going in to keep the peaks a little lower.Mihnea told me it should be boosting to 2bar(about 28-29psi)so something is wrong.

Default which bypass vavle are you running?? it could be the cause of the problem

Your boost spike could possible be because your by-pass vavle cannot handle the inertia of your turbo charger.

fellow enthusiast writes: "On highly tuned engines, therefore using huge cold sides flowing great amounts of boost and charge, cold side impellers have a very high inertia (inertia increases proportionally to mass but with the square of the radius).
When suddenly shutting down throttle on gear changes or whatever the reason might be, this inertia of the wheel will keep on pumping charge for a short period of time (tenths of a second, probably) but long enaugh to have boost rising way higher the resistance limit of all the intake systems (hoses, IC etc.) but expecialy over structural strenght of the cold side impeller itself, potentially leading to serius damage of it.
Therefore, with big turbos, instead of having a single big and high flowing dump valve, might be better to use two smaller ones, which can also provide a quicker responce."

Default Interesting

You have a FMIC and 3" exhaust over Dave yet your power is way lower. What MAF are you using?

The only other differences you cite are Injectors and S/W.

http://www.audifans.com/pipermail/s-car-list/2004-January/024993.html</a
