Default ECS Stage II or BIRA System3 Brakes?

Well about to spend the next "chunk" on the car and her come the brakes before the RS2 conversion. Any strong opinions either way? Going to be doing rear rotors and pads.
And either the Stage II Big Reds (but in black):

or the System3 from BIRA

OR ASW's set-up which pretty much same as ECS's w/ drilled rotors

Default Cody... I was thinking the exact same thing

down to the black calipers :-)

Let me know what you decide. I'm leaning towards ECS Stage II. Have you priced BIRA system 3?

BTW, I've decided to skip RS2 turbo and go to a T04 hybrid of some sort... of course... time and money dictate... blah blah...

Can't speak to the BIRA brakes although people seem to like them.. I have the Stage III ECS setup as does a friend.. They work well.. Don't get Mintex RedBox pads as they leave junk on the rotors... Tom is a good guy to work with.. Although... BOTH of us that bought the kits from ECS had mis-shipments from them. My order took WELL over a MONTH to get all straightened out.. **BUT** they did make good on their mistakes.

Approximations, but:

Brakes(sourced independently): around $1200 for 996 calipers, A8 rotors, SS lines, and performance pads, + brackets from BIRA.

Suspension: $800 for just springs and struts/shocks for H&R's and Koni's, $1200 for rear coilover and front sport setup with externally adjustable struts.
$1295 for Stromung 3" turbo back(wholesale), $600 for Scorpion catback

Wheels and tires: ????

New Delrin/Poly bushings and motor mounts: $300-400.

Adjustable camber/castor plates: $500

RS2 components:
MAF-$350
Injectors-$600
Exhaust Manifold- $650
Studs for manifold and gasket: $120
RS2 turbo new-$1450
TO4E/K26 Hybrid- $800
New turbo and wastegate gaskets- $100
Oil and water lines(Garrett hybrid)- $220
Software- $500-$900, depending on application

Hoses and plumbing: $450 for silicone hose, clamps, and Samco kit for S4
New DV: $30-$180, depending on application and choice(Hyperboost being the most expensive).

Sinking fund for parts that go "BOOM": At least $400

Alignment: Depends on dealership/shop, but bank on at least $120

Boost gauge: Depends, but at least $80+ line cost

Intangibles:
Broken/battered fingers: FREE of charge
Own labor- "Priceless"
Tools: Depends

Grand total: Minimum: $7820 without labor or wheel and tires
Maximum(subjective): $11685 without labor, WITH $1400 for DECENT wheels/tires( $200/wheel, $150/tire)

Hope that helps...but that's not even including seats, harnesses, and helmet, plus a myriad of other possible mods like Euro bumpers, lights, cams, intercooler, intake manifold, custom
parts, flywheel, clutch, bigger oil cooler, bigger radiator, rear discs/pads, CRB 6-speed tranny...and the list goes on...
