Electric fan and after-run coolant pump?
When should the electric fan turn on for the S4's (where on the temp gage) and also does the afterrun pump come on always when you shut the car down or just at a certain temp? I haven't heard my electric fan come on yet nor the pump. I replaced the pump temp switch and also the switch for the 2 speed fan. when i bypass the pump temp switch with the car off, the fan and pump come on. when i jump the fan switch with the car off both speeds work.
Could it be possible that a relay is bad despite these tests? The car's temp gage never usually goes above the first thick bar and runs one bar lower than that on the highway.

Where is cheapest place to get after run pump?
I think mines dripping a little bit (starting to leak). Has 140k on it... they usually start to go then.

Sounds like its working fine. You can try this to make it come on at a lower temp.
