Default fault code 1111
HI every one

I am registering one fault code:

1111 (Blink Fault Code), VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number 65535 Engine Control Unit (ECU) Defective memory circuits, incorrect Checksum for EPROM(s) (this can occur on some modified ECU's) Check ECU ground connections, Replace ECU?


Is this true about modified ecu's? That they can pop code 1111. I don't know if my ecu is chipped or not?

Any help is appreciative in the path that I should check to correct the problems.. I am searching hard.. but I will take what I can get.

Default how do you tell the difference between 1111 and 0000?
with using blink codes?????

Default I bet it's 0000. Easy way to tell is if all the flashes are the same length.
If it was 1111 then there would be a LONG flash then 4 short ones.

Default 1111 would register before 2111 right? would make sense.
Becuase 2111 registers first then light light light light.

not to worried anymore.
