Default Finished up my D585 bracket tonight...

Plan is to mount it to the strut bar behind the IM. But first it's getting a few coats of high-temp black paint.

Default Very Good, I also mentioned down below about the D581's

Here is a decent discussion on the various LS coils, and why I chose to stick the D581's, although for a "Street" (under 4/450(b)hp) application I think it wont make a difference, unless you want to mess with your dwell numbers.

FYI: LS2 Delphi Coils *are* made by Mitsubishi
D581= Delphi Part #: 12558693
D585= Delphi Part #: 12570616

LTLHOMER quote:
"693s are 1kV min and 60 mJ min. 616's are 0.5 kV min and 40 mJ min.

The 616s have less lag time and are rated for higher rpms than the trucks".<ul><li><a href="http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-42855.html">http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-42855.html</a</li></ul>

Nice, I like where these projects are going. Any thoughts on "upgrading"? to MSD stuff?

Thanks for the info. Nowhere near that kind of power yet, these will do the trick for now

Default Possibly in the future...the nice thing is they will be plug and play at that point.

With a stock motor besides a chip, these are more than sufficient for now.

What are the plastic spacers made from. Pipe? Tubing?

Nylon spacers from Lowe's. They're in the same area as the machine screws, etc.

I only have Home Despot (in joke with the "associates"). Probably similar.

These D585's are good training coils. Might be good (because of the heat sink). MSDs = pricey.
