I recently installed a new coolant expansion tank. In the past year I have also replaced the temp sender tee and the coolant fitting at the back of the block. I thought the expansion tank would fix things up for a while, but I was wrong.
I have coolant leaking fairly rapidly, you can see it dripping down the frame rails, running along the front subframe before pooling and finally dripping down on the ground.
Seeing as it was dripping from in between the double firewall, I localized the source of the leak as coming from the heater core check valve. Is it possible to simply bypass this valve? As I do not currently have access to an ETKA equipped computer, I cannot find the part number. Any idea how much money this piece will cost me to buy?
This plastic heater valve is mentioned in the "Life at 200k+" essay.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/79185.phtml">Life at 200k+ Miles.</a></li></ul>

And the damn thing still found new places to leak.
Not sure what you mean by "Check Valve". There is a Bleeder Valve used to allow it to drain, allow air to escape when filling. There is also a control valve to regulate the temp of the core.
Yes I completely removed the bleed valve and it fills/empties just fine. I wouldn't remove the flow regulator unless you like your toes roasty toasty.
