Front Seats Experience...

Hi all,
Kinda a shotgun blast of a question here but thought I'd ask regardless, appreciate any input anyone has...
I've got a 95 S6 wagon with the (I'm assuming Recaro) front seats - long story short, I've got a bad back and these seats seem to fit me well...
fast forward to the new non-audi project (88 toyo landcruiser) that is in need of some front seats... I've read about somebody putting some 200 seats in (with some adapter plates) and would love to stick in some nice power heated audi seats - not sure I'm going to be able to afford any UrS6 seats for this project so I wanted to see who had familiarity and would be willing to share any knowledge on older seats from models ala 100/200, 4k/5k, CQ, etc. Any suggestions for a good seat I should be looking for?
many thanks
msquito

Similar to UrS seats, though the leather is more durable(read: thicker). Having said that, it's REALLY hard to be UrS seats. No other affordable Audi I know has them. S8 would be the next in line, IMO.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I put another set in my 1973 Bavaria and they were really comfortable also. I think you will find they are easy to come by, very comfortable and easy to fabricate brackets to fit. Have fun with that cruiser.

I owned an 80 series quattro with the optional sport seats. They were cloth, but were great seats with wonderful blosters. I would rate them just a notch below my S4s seats.
They didn't have the 'extend-under-the-knees' thing, but they were real comfy. Also, they were not power or heated.
Best of luck in your search!

Your '88 Land Cruiser has manual seats, and you'll want to keep it that way.
Try to find a set of old 1980's manual cloth recaros and you'll have to fab up some sort of mounting bracket.
I have a bad back as well (at 30), and the seats were one of the reasons i bought another S4/S6. WHen I drive my Chevy Trailblazer for more than 20 minutes, I start getting lower back pain. I can drive my Audi for long jaunts in comfort. Love the seats.
The early 6-cyl Land Cruisers are great 4x4 rigs!! Pics?

Yes, the LC's seats are manual, but I'd sure love to have power/heated seats in it. It's now my daily driver as my wife is driving the UrS6 so some creative electrical to connect 'em up is worth the hassle to me.
Here's a couple pics of the LC if you're interested ('bout midway down)

http://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=129091</a
