Default aren't they like the chinese rs2 manifolds? surprisingly cheap (set ~200$)

I know that they will work, I saw them mounted
on s2 (~500PS) here and I was about to buy such
set about a month ago but as for now I didn't
risk it.

Currently my plan is to use Audi coils which are
quite cheap here (used of course) but the are a
lot bigger and still I'm interested how this
project will develop.

Default Nothing like the Chinese manifolds. At least the ones I would run would be OEM, not knock-offs.

Any links to the 500 PS S2 running these coils?

So you could run the coils remotely, not under the cover correct?

Default That is the point. Coils are away from the engine. 7A leads run to spark plugs. Run the plug wires

under the "20v Turbo" cover.

Default They are the right ones (D514A) but I don't know the brand. The coils in the S2 link are the LS1

coils. Same basic idea but the input and output are on the same end/side. The D514A, D581 and D585 all have inputs on one end and outputs on the other.

Default Yep...CNP (Coil Near Plug) style...

That is half the problem with the 1.8T COP (Coil over Plug) the iron block accompanied with the turbo I think is too much heat for them if your running a big turbo/high boost/high hp.

IMO part of the reason the stock BERU are more robust because it has a separate driver (POS). but they cost ~$150 each plus $2?? if the POS fails each, That is over $1000 just to replace your ignition on your 15 year old car!, but the bang for buck on these cars is outrageous, bang for buck the only thing that comes close to these are the fox body Mustang, early gen Miata or 92~95 Civic's

This will alleviate all those problems. If it works it will be a High Output system for about $300 w/$25 replacement coils.
