Default Weston Motorsports has what you need...

Paul at Weston Motorsports has gotten me pads and plenty of Super Blue:

WMSBrakes@aol.com
888 558 0631

Kerr Friction Street pads and Porterfield RS4 pads are the same pad, just different name.

Kerr Friction Street P/N 737.04
Kerr Friction Race P/N 737.03 (Never tried, but heard good things for track days)

Cheers,

Default Yeah, I know how that goes.

Let us know if you change pads and what kind of luck you have.

Default Actually, that just might work...

Maybe you didn't bed them in right.
Go up to 120 and slow da f down, they should be less noisy. ;-)

Default Join the club....I think ECS is going to have a problem on their hands soon

I will concurr. All went fine when I made the switch, little squeal here & there that I attributed to a track day of roasting the pads they came with. So, I decide the change pads......big mistake, this was the start of my hell.

I switched pads, but not the damper springs, tried to reuse them. I then bought some copper paste, hoping that would stop the squal, no luck, so I then buy new vibration springs from the Porsche dealership AND I buy some harder pads (likeght track, aggressive street) recommended by someone on the group. Gave that a shot, no change.

I then bought brake silicone as recommended by ECS, but not Castle brand (still can't find where to get it). ECS later tells me it must be Castle. So the crappy stuff I put on, worked perfectly until 2 days later when it was dumping rain, must have washed it all away (this stuff was like oil, not like the Castle stuff). Then the squeal came back.

I still haven;t done the Castle treatment, and from reading your bit, I wonder if this is yet another wasted tail chasing. I am really pissed also, as I have wasted a lot of time and money chasing the same end (these pads I bought are NOT cheap, and it turns out it's not the pads!!).

95.5 avant, same brake setup
