Default has anyone added a switch to thier ABS?

IIRC some of the euro-spec, and possibly CAN. cars had this feature. I'd imagine if the EDL can disable the abs, then there has to be a relay that could be switched.
Just had ABS engage coming down a hill (very slick out) and it reminded me how much I hate ABS in the snow.

I don't recall an empty switch harness behind the dash. or did you wire it from the EDL button?

Default No, you have to wire it in, I wish there was an empty harness!

There should be a fuse on the driver's side kick panel that you can wire into and control the ABS on/off

Default There is no "EDL button". Are you thinking of the diff lock button on the 92-95 cars?

Only 95.5 and up have EDL.

Agreed that it sucks not to be able to turn off ABS though.

Default Slush + ABS = Can't stop. :-(

EDL works with the ABS; it does not override or disable the ABS.

Default Judging by the way this winter is going, it won't be an issue this year...

I agree that there are times the ABS does more harm than good, but overall I have to say I'm really impressed with the ABS in the S4. (No experience with the later 4 channel ABS in the A6 yet.) I mean, go drive a GM from the same era and ABS is downright scary. The Audi ABS just works and is very unobtrusive.
