Default help -- having trouble removing the instrument cluster

3. Remove the (2) screws from underneath the lower trim strip and slide it to the left to remove (there is a pin on the right side that you much clear).
4. Remove the (3) Phillips screws that retain the instrument display into the dash.
5. Pull the display out so that you can access the wiring connectors on the back side.

Using the search I found the above instructions. Having trouble with step #5. I can't get the display to come out far enough to even see the wiring connectors, much less disconnect them. The fact that I can only grip it at the bottom seems to wedge it at the top middle. Can't rotate it by pulling the right side out either.

Any suggestions?

Default pull hard.

I don't even remember trying to get it out. But I do remember having to pry hard.

Default okay I got it. thanks!

I was afraid I'd break something if I pulled too hard. But with some serious pulling it came right out. Towel on steering column = good advice.
