Default How do I remove the DAMN C-pillar?

I'm re-doing my headliner and everything else has come off relatively easily.....except for both C-pillars. The bottom part of both pillars appear to be caught, and won't release, regardless of what I do. Has anyone else out there had trouble removing these? What was your solution?

Unfortunately, I dont have a Bentley manual yet.....so PLEASE help

Default You need to pull the package shelf first...

which means the rear seat, speakers, and seat belts all have to come out. It's probably theoretically possible to get them out without pulling all the other stuff, but I wouldn't recommend trying.

Thought so....where do I unbolt the seats from? It doesn't appear that they seats fold forward like they did in my B5.....Any more tips?

I really appreciate the help!

The seats do not fold forward at all (metal bulkhead behind them). The headrests have to come out (pin clips). Bolts at bottom of the back rest (remove seat bottom first - two large Phillips screws).

Well, I've removed the headrests (took out all four pin clips) and unscrewed the two Phillips head screws at the bottom of the seats....But they won't come out. They appear to be held in place by something at the top (near where the head rests came from). What am I missing? (aside from a Bentley manual)

Default You need to pull the headrests and the tubes they run in...

The tubes lock into the sheet metal bulkhead between the trunk and the back seat- you have to be in the trunk to pop them loose. Pull the vertical gray fleece trim panel out of the way in the trunk and you'll be able to see what you're doing.

Once the tubes are out, the seat back should lift up and out.
