Default I broke my shifter.. damn!!!

See the piece at 12:00 o'clock? Does this mean I have to replace the whole shifter assembly? I lost my ability to push down for reverse but I can wing it to the left and reverse goes in. I have to be carefull though as it is pretty close to first gear.

Any options here? will the Bilzcatshort shifter kit fix this? I'm sure I can get this whole assembly from the dealer, right? Ryan, part numbers?

Default that only makes it so that you have to push down for reverse, right?

so your fine without it as long as you are carefull. IIRC, the billzcat shifter will not fix this, that part stays with it. Might want to contact someone with a parts car and see if you can get their shifter assembly if you are worried about it. What did you do?

Default Yes it's more or a stopper so you won't accidently go in reverse.

I must have also screw something in that assembly because I cannot push down for reverse now but I can just wing left and reverse goes in. With your Bilzcat, did you have to remove the stock assembly? How hard was the install? Did you have to remove the center console for install?

Good opportunity to weight the selector shaft and install a short shifter.

Default here is the link to the write up i did

<a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/62941.phtml"> link</a>
although as you'll see, the pictures no longer work. I did it with out taking out the consol, it can be done, just maybe a little tight. The hardest part i had was removing the tab as all i had was a dremel. It is well worth the upgrade.
