I heard tick tick tick sound when the car idle.

The car havn't driven for a week.Today I start the engine and hearing the tick tick tick sound.So Is that from the hydraulic valve?anyone BTDT.

either way, it's the lifters, if it's the former, the lifters just became de-pressurized from sitting, but if it's the latter, it's a result of low oil level and the lifters not being able to re-pressurize, allowing the clicking to continue.
could also be too heavy an oil in a cold climate, but I don't think it's been that cold lately anywhere in our hemisphere for that really to be a factor, has it?

My friend told me to drive a car for a few days.he said the lifters could probably de-pressurize from sitting as you mentioned.

it seems the tick sound doesn't come out immediately.it's just right after 15 secs after started the engine.

The POS plug only had 1K on it too. I always meant to send it back to Bosch, but never got around to it..
