Ok, here's some mods that made me keep my old remote and not dump money in another one...the remote was working fine , just the tab was broken so no need to discart it.
Here's what i did:
i gave it a smooth round shape...knife, file, sand paper...whatever works for you.

Next i cut a small slot on the sidewall ...i might have cut it too large...oh well...i had a plastic tab installed there but that broke as well so i opted for the string...more flexible...
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/92966/photo-0232.jpg">
next....find a piece of string...a tough one if you don't wanna loose youre remote ...my luck ....only thing i could find was yellow...haha....from a pair of glasses....yellow doesn't bother me so i went with it...the beauty of this mod is that you can chhange the color of your string...lol
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/92966/photo-0233.jpg">
make a loop in it, not too large...
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/92966/photo-0234.jpg">
the center of the remote has a screw that keeps it in place....you will be putting that loop around the screw and that's how it's secure.
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/92966/photo-0235.jpg">
put the back cover on, make sure your loop is still in the center and close it.
Install the center screw.
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/92966/photo-0236.1.jpg">Trim the rest of the string, use a lighter to melt the tips (naylon string), atach it to the rest of the keys and ...VOILA!
i saved you 50 bucks!now buy my parts on audifans so i can make it through next week!

Thank you
My ring just broke so I hadn't thought too much about how to attach it to the key ring. My initial thought was to use doublesided tape to attach to my S-fest keyring fob, but that would have made it bulky.
