I saw an article about insulating gaskets for the intake manifold of several cars. The idea is to instulate the cylinder head heat from the intake manifold, and keep if from heating air before it goes into the engine. Anyone know anything about this, or where to get one? The engine is a 3B 20vt. My intake manifold gets very hot after running for a while and I can't help but think when this happens, my intercooler is useless. Thanks!

Just a piece of thin heatproof gasket material.
Not sure if it does much. Although my engine compartment gets so hot, you really don't want to touch the hood.
You can see it, just under the intake plenums here.
