I've searched the archives but still haven't found any pics of speaker adapters for the 4" Bose...

Anyone done a conversion to 5.25" and lived to tell about it? I have a C4 (though sadly not an S6...) and I'm getting ready to finally upgrade my stereo. I have Diamond Audio Hex components in the 5.25" size and just worry that they'll fit (both in depth and diameter.)
Any help and especially pics would be very helpful. Thanks!!

the diameter. No way in hell I can see to fit a 5.25" speaker in there without serious cutting and ruining any hope of a stock appearance.
I just asked 'cuz I hear about people doing it but it's not looking likely.

like there's no room in there at all, I don't know, maybe they changed the speaker design on the late C4s but it looks tough. Any pics to share?

Different speakers are going to need different customization and fabrication to fit into the door panels. No 5.25 speaker is just going to screw in. You are going to need to do some planning and fabricatrion. Good luck, and yes I did use the stock speaker grills for both the mids and tweeters.
