Good rod bearing to the left, and bad rod bearing to the right (like I had to tell anyone)\

Default What happened anyways?

didn't you spin a bearing a little while after you got your S4? Did it damage your crank at all? you lose oil pressure or something?

Default Just spun.

Had perfect oil level before and after it spun, so it wasn't oil starvation on my part. It was a factory rebuilt motor (all rebuilt stuff for NA is done in Canada, no wonder it failed). Crank was scored bad. My buddy and his father rebuilt the motor for me. They used a set of rods and crank with all new bearings. Since compression was fine we kept the same piston and piston rings.

Default Knocking sounds, about 0.5 seconds before damage

By the time you hear a bearing rap, damage has been sustained.
Learned this in V8 days.

Default No. Also, it seems if a rod bearing spins in the AAN it is 99.9% most likley ot the be the #5...

Cody Payne's number 5 went as well as another lister, all around the same time mine did. I've heard from others who has spu one that the #5 was the culprit. Some seem ot think this is because it is farthest away from the oil pump.
