Default Just tried to install the EFI coil kit. Just discovered my 97 car is different. :-(

The connections are different on my car! I have no 4 pin connectors! GAAAHHHH! Now I have to put my car back together with the old coils before dark, it's sitting disabled on a downtown street!

Why is my life so difficult?

Default Aren't the connectors on the other side of the POSs the 4 pin ones? I think that is where they go.

I have never installed a coil kit but that would make sense because those are the ones coming form the ECU right?

Default Yeah, aren't the stock POS discarded?

I sold one of my two good ones. Still got a POS for sale, anybody need?

Default Stock POSs are not required with the Delphi D585 coils EFI (Marc S) is using.

The LS2 type D585 coils have a built in POS in each coil. It's the "ignitor" in this diagram:

Sigh. I guess I need instructions with more detail than just "remove the POS". I'll take a look.

Default It's not different. You just don't realize the POSs have both a 4 pin and a 3 pin end.

Just checked. You're right. I fail at life. Time to re-do the job again, from scratch. :-/

Lesson: Always consult the forum and/or FAQ before you give up and go back.
