KATE *still* won't tell me where she hides the front strut tower stress bar. Anybody know?

I have looked through MG 8 (body many times) and front suspension MG 4 all for naught.
Surely somebody knows where it is?

...you'll see them listed (with a model remark of S4 or S6 depending upon year):
8A0 805 645 A "connecting pipe" (strut brace)
8A0 805 963 "plug" (for each end of the bar)
4A0 805 635 "retainer for connecting rod - left"
4A0 805 636 "retainer for connecting rod - right"
The only vehicles where I've seen the bar depicted in the diagram are 90 quattros for '93-'95 (FWDs 90s and Cabriolets don't show the bar either even though US spec cars came with'm -- although they are however listed in the 805-00 slide just like they are for S4/S6s).

With the early ones (that have a big bolt and washer right in front of the jump post) your jumper cables will tend to short out on the washer and/or nut.
Later ones have the ends cut down and recessed cap screws- much mo' betta.
You can also modify the early bar to the late style. I've used band saws and cutoff wheels to duplicate the later style bars.
