Default kday, did you re-seal anything after drying your carpet?

Tomorrow my carpet is comming off of the car to get perfect drying process after inside water leaking. Maybe it wasn't necessery, but I will stay with this ar for longer + invest more $$, so want to make sure there is nothing wrong with it.

Am I re-sealing something in firewall area or do I just let it dry and put it back together?

Thanks

Default It depends on where the leak is...

While the carpet is out is a good time to try to simulate the leak with a garden hose ir you don't know where it is.

The first time I did this it was a backed up plenum drain, and there was nothing to seal. The most recent time it turned out to be the windshield that was leaking. I put some silicone on it temporarily and it seems to be working.

Default yeah, sounds like I have nothing to seal too. My problem ...

was a backed up a drain too, I have seen like in a faw days period the blower area under the hood became weirdly dirty. It suprised me, but I ignored it. Later on I noticed the water sitting there. Only one touch the drain by my finger and all water and frekin' leaves were gone thru drain, but before it some water got inside.
Naturaly a garden hose will be used to find out if that is the only problem.
Thanks again.
