Default lean, fuel comsumption, codes, MAFs

this code does not mean MAF is bad does it? can it? been running borowed MAF for two weeks, code has not come back yet.

2413 (Blink Fault Code), 00561 VAG1551/2 Fault Code Number
Mixture Adjustment,
Adaptation limit exceeded, Adaptation limit not reached, Leakage in exhaust system before 3 Way catalytic converters, Incorrect signal for Mass Air Flow Sensor, Spark plugs, ignition coil(s), or Ignition Coil Power output stage malfunctioning
Symptom: Rich mixture, increased fuel consumption

o2 sensor is white, get random ping in second gear when turbos starts to spool, have lack of power often, no boost leaks. boost hits 25psi, backs down to 5 at 5000rpm. sometimes car has seat of the pants charge in aceleration at 4500 rpm, when before that it drags. got nothing above 100, lucky if I hit 120.

if not getting enough fuel under full boost o2 sensor will be white? will trigger a code, but not the code I had? or is this the right code from o2 sensor telling MAF there is not enough gas?

I want to fix this thing.

also takes 5 cranks when cold to start car, 1 when warm, found vacuum leak in hose t fitting connecting to FPR (have not had time to fix yet)

so replace o2 sensor and FPR and fix vac leak and relay fuel pump to battery, I am on the right track to cure problems?

Default Un-plug the ECU or battery for 24 hrs

Not sure if that will help but it might clear out the lean codes the computer picked up during the pings.

O2 sensor R&R sounds like a solve too.

Sorry to hear about your issues.

Default Or hook up a VAG-COM and clear the code? If the O2 has more than 80-100k mi...

...it's probably due.

Default "found vacuum leak in hose t fitting connecting to FPR" - Fix that first and then report back. The

FPR is extremely important to your problem.

24 minutes should be plenty.

Default I'd use a VAG-COM to clear the code, I'd only disconnect the battery after a new O2 is installed...

...because the ECU has to re-learn everything.

Why make it re-learn bad readings? Although it'll take less time for it to figure out a new O2 then not resetting it and taking longer to figure out why the readings are drastically different between old/new O2s.

Default Why yes I did....

My results showed the OE unit to perform better....but who knows, maybe it was coincidental.
