Let's get the honest truth here what can I expect from a 7A exhaust cam?

If I run more boost and higher compression, it makes sense to also hold the exhaust valves open a little longer.
No??
I thought maybe even if you just had a chip and an RS EM, the 7A cam might be helpful. Maybe I'm wrong. I just know a lot of people run that as a lower cost alternative when they go to RS2.

AAN/ABY/3B:
intake: 8.3mm
exhaust: 8.6mm
ADU(RS2):
intake: 8.3mm
exhaust: 9.5mm
7A:
intake: 9.6mm
exhaust: 10.5mm
As you can see, the 7A is no more identical to an RS2 cam as an RS2 is to an AAN.

by going to a 7A cam you're going to lose some tq and really experience no benefit unless you're building a monster motor. The AAN cams do just fine up until about 6500 rpms.......then they fall on their face. Up high is where the 7A cams come to life so if you're going w/ a big old snail that pushes lots of boost up high they'd be a good idea but for most of us it's probably just overkill.
