Is this normal case for the K24 ,'EM will be glowing red when hard driving or long period driving on the S-car?
The problem is here.Someone has just give me an idea about the K24 failure that It's possible that the very high exhaust temp can cause the turbo bushing, seal get bad before the time.
He said normally, the turbo should not be glowing red.this symthom is identifying that your car may be get lean condition.
So I just want to know that if my K24 get red
like fire.Is this normal case?pls give me some clues?

A glowing manifold is normal for extended hard driving, but you could have a lean condition that is causing it to heat up faster than normal. The harder you run the turbo the shorter the life of the seals and bearings will be. This is true of anything. The more you beat on it the shorter it will last.
A/F ratio gauges are cheap and easy to install. A wide band O2 sensor will be much more accurate, but much more expensive.
An exhaust gas temp gauge is also expensive, but probably the best way to determine if you are running too lean.
