Default Local meet...

Went to a little local gathering of Audi enthusiasts this weekend. I, of course, had the oldest car there, and the only 5 banger.

Got a few looks from a crowd that thinks the first S4 began with the A4.

Being in a row of B5 S4's, it made me appreciate my C4 chassis S6 that much more. What a unique car! Definately has that rare factor... Classy... not ricey. And, oozes sophistication.

I've had appeal to the newer S4's (getting cheap, powerful), but when my car is next to it, I know why I drive what I drive.

No thanks... I'll keep my old 5 cyl C4 chassis car!

Just thought I'd share with everyone.

Default Ding!

C4 cars are keepers.

I do like the stunning looks of the B5 S4s, though. They're lighter, with more powah (stock for stock), and look powerful without going to rice.

But I'll keep my C4 car, thanks.

Default 3rd. And I have the UrS collection to back that up ;-)

I never thought I'd drive 2 of the same car, let alone 4. Then again, I may just be deranged ;-)

Well, I've sold 2, so I "only" have 2 right now, but yes, I'm not at all well ;-)

Default I have one now, but I've had 3 ur-S total...

And, on my 6th Audi. Clearly not well. ;^)

Default What's with the funky B5 smell?

I noticed all B5 S4's have a really funky smell to the interior? What's the deal with that?

I can't stand it. Think it would keep me from buying one. Plus, I think the B5 S4 is only about 300 lbs lighter or less.

Default It didn't smell like that until you got in it.

:P

I never noticed a strange smell. Just leather, and a 6-speed.
