MAF is giving me issues. Any harm in pre-emptively going RS2 MAF on an otherwise non-rs2 car?

Yes... it will send the ECU the wrong signals, and that's not fair to anyone.

Default An unscreened UrS car MAF has similar flow characteristics to an RS2 MAF but....

there is a risk that running unscreened, a squirrel will be sucked in and bend the "hot wire" in the MAF.

Really.

(well, maybe not squirrels, but small rodents...)
