So. Went about cleaning the MAF and accidentally touched the wire. Boing. [expletive]. Ah, the price of daydreaming at the wrong time. Anyone know if the wire can be soldered or repaired or is replacement the only option?

Contact Steve Eiche at Shadetree software in Arvada CO. I believe he is able to rewire the MAF hot wire.

Good idea, thanks. He's was very helpful on a prior ECU project. Update to follow.

He told me that "I can fix MAF wires now, as I bought the correct platinum wire ($$$) and figured out a way to weld it in"

So you should be good to go.
